Comfort Excelsior

Comfort Excelsior provides a great value to flock owners by providing ready-to-use uncompressed and cleaned excelsior bedding that can be used for bedding in nest boxes. Each pound of Comfort Excelsior bedding can fill up to 3 chicken nesting boxes.

Excelsior's natural properties allow the fibers to interlock together so that once you press excelsior into a nest box, the fibers bind together to create a single nest that can easily be removed from the nest box making clean up easier than with pine shavings or straw.       

Our excelsior is an all-natural aspen wood fiber product manufactured in the USA from Great Lakes Aspen. Our aspen is only sourced from forest product companies that hold memberships in Sustainable Forestry programs. Aspen is a self-propagating tree and renews itself from its own root system which makes it a good environmental choice. 

Excelsior fibers are 100% biodegradable and compostable.
